The engineers researched the latest technology to develop the Wraith as an ultra-luxury athlete geared for the 21st century. The result is the boldest and most dramatic Rolls Royce ever built. Being technologically in tune with the times; its sophisticated Satellite Aided Transmission uses GPS data allowing it to perceive well beyond the driver to calibrate itself for the driver’s next move.
Its sophistication continues with a voice-activated infotainment system with touch pad. AND…its beautifully hand-crafted forward opening coach doors close at the touch of a button. The hand-built alloy 6.6 litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine is without conjecture the pinnacle of motoring majesty. It provides a prolific 624 hp @ 5,600 rpm with 800 Nm of peak torque @ 1,500 rpm. The engine is mated to an eight speed ZF transmission that performs with remarkably smooth and imperceptible operation. The drive-train and its functions remain anonymous as always in a Rolls Royce. Rolls Royce engineers created all-new parameters to expedite overall driving dynamics for the driver’s gran turismo. The Wraith’s ride adapts to the driving requisites. It is the independent double wishbones up front and an independent multi-link rear suspension, combined with an electronic damping system fitted to each wheel that provides the patented “soaring-sensation” Rolls Royce made famous. Tapping the accelerator pedal on any Rolls Royce is thrilling…no matter how far down one pushes the pedal, there’s still room underneath. This is the manner in which Rolls Royce distributes the “power in reserve” philosophy.
The extraordinary craftsmanship and extreme attention to detail is evident in the Wraith’s ultra-luxurious cabin. The intimate four-seat theme is augmented by hand-crafted Canadel Paneling. It is named after the famous cove in the South of France where Sir Frederic Henry Royce and his design team spent their winters.

To evoke a feeling of well-being, one may opt for the Starlight Headliner. This bespoke feature creates a dramatic ambience reminiscent of a starry night sky. The headlining incorporates 1,340 fibre optic lamps are hand-woven into the fabric to “glitter.”
The Wraith is bold and contemporary. The elegant rear-hinged coach doors are frameless. Absence of the “B” pillar makes entry and exit easier. The sweep of the roof line terminates in a fastback design and is not only beautiful but adds to its aerodynamic efficiency.

MJU…it’s all about good taste, wind-cheating styling, and 21st century finesse. If cars had all of the intricately-curvy bodylines and weight – we’d be looking at a weekly petrol bill that would blow your wig back! Just as those God-awful crossover things (which are the bastards at the automobile family reunions) took over, sedan and coupe models must follow the same rule of homeliness to achieve government standards. Believe me when I say, even if one can afford $500-$700 per week just for gasoline – doesn’t mean one will be thrilled about it. One way or another it’s a sacrifice.
So you think this car is ugly? You ain’t seen nothin yet! Wait until autonomy takes over and your front seat passengers will be turned towards the rear seat passengers while on the road. Ugly will reach new heights in pisstivity for me…you see, I too am in love with the look of a real car!
