This is dedicated to all of the fans of the Lamborghini Countach series. What kind of tribute to Lambo’s 50th Anniversary would this be with no mention of the Countach…..why it was the legendary Lamborghini Miura and the formidable Lamborghini Countach that put Sant’ Agata Bolognese “on the map!” The Miura and the Countach are the blue-blooded legends. These were absolute greats from Marcello Gandini and Nuccio Bertone, I am sure you die-hard aficionados  recognize these names……

The illustrious V12 Lamborghini engine was taken to breath-taking performance in the Countach. Its styling tour-de-force blew the locks off design school protocol. Lamborghini has always been pioneers….They have gone to where no automaker has ever gone before. Yes, “Beam me up Scotty!” And those of you old enough to remember the introduction of the Countach…..and how it left the automotive world in an awesome….’gasp’. The Countach gave birth to the “LP” ….’Longitudinale/Posteriore…the mid-engine mounted longitudinally in front of the rear axle…..which was NOTORIOUSLY outrageous for the Genre…..Lamborghini has had ’em shakin in their shoes and runnin’ scared since their inception.

…..and no spoilers or wings….no gimmicks….just cold-blooded, awesome, jaw-dropping speed……that’s after you got over the shocking beauty of the Countach…..simply outrageous for the time, and definitely not for the squeamish…..or faint at heart! Lambo
