Lamborghini Reventon Roadster
…………this bull is extremely dangerous, beware!
Lamborghini released the ultimate open two-seater October 2009. The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster is one of the most exclusive cars in the entire world. Per Sant’ Agata Bolognese, “The Reventon Roadster is a car of breathtaking fascination, menacing power and uncompromising performance.” The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster, like its sister the Reventon hardtop, was built at an extremely restricted pace of less than 20 vehicles world-wide…..that’s Lamborghini’s gift to history…..YOU-GO…..LAMBO!
The aircraft inspired interior is crafted with leather, Alcantara, and aluminum. Carbon-fibre too plays an important role to the cabin. Not only is it attractive but it adds structural rigidity to components increasing the torsional strength. Even the instruments are mounted into a casing machined from solid aluminum and housed in a carbon-fibre dashboard………..Lambo is the leader in carbon-fibre technology world-wide……..the bull truly rules!
The price was 1.1 Million Euros, excluding tax. The satisfaction of owning a masterpiece such as this far outweighs the cost. To quote Rolls Royce….”The quality will remain long after the price is forgotten” applies to a Lambo as well…..one cannot put a monetary value on a priceless work of art like a fine Monet or Renoir oil painting. Lamborghini creates priceless pleasures which are a joy forever! YOU-GO…..Lambo!
“The Reventon is the most extreme car in the history of the brand,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. He made this comment back in 2009, this was before the stunning Aventador J which is a one-off and not even the Lamborghini Museum got a copy of this most extreme vehicle. But then, the Lamborghini Egoista was…no, the Lamborghini Veneno was the most extreme…..I give up! Lambo is cranking out so many masterpieces that it is virtually impossible to define “extreme” any more! Their shockingly-stunning tradition leaves the world speechless. The Reventon coupe was introduced at the 2007 IAA in Frankfurt selling out immediately. LAMBO ROCKS!
This avant-garde wedge of power has a bodyshell made almost entirely of carbon-fibre elements. The cell of the Reventon Roadster is fashioned from high-strength steel profile and carbon components joined with special adhesives and rivets. As its sister model, Reventon coupe, the Roadster is finished in a slightly different shade of matte grey called “Reventon.” In the sunlight the metallic content in the finish dazzles and adds depth like you would not believe……….typically Lambo!
The Reventon Roadster uses the formidable Lamborghini V12. It is tuned to release a whopping 670 horses @ 8,000 rpm with peak torque of 660 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. Too sweet! The V12 is driven by two chains for the four camshafts that operate 48 valves. Combined with a three-phase adjustable intake manifold, the variable valve timing delivers that prolific punch of torque build-up. Dry sump lubrication ensures a constant supply of oil even under heavy acceleration. With the absence of the oil sump, the engine can be mounted deeper into the frame which aids overall handling characteristics. This “rudely-elegant” behemoth catapults from 0-62 in just 3.4 seconds……YOU-GO…..Lambo!
The Reventon Roadster has the Lamborghini permanent all-wheel drive for outstanding stability and traction. With the engine mounted longitudinally in front of the rear axle and the transmission ahead of it beneath the center tunnel, result in 58% of the overall weight being borne by the rear wheels. This is the perfect layout for a high-performance supercar. Lambo knows that a lower center of gravity is a requisite for speed in a convertible. It was Lambo that was the first super sports car manufacturer to equip their cars with all-wheel drive………………….you should know by now!
Stephan Winkelmann President & CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. He is the mastermind behind the ferocious bull!
The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster with its exclusive serial-numbered existence is another dream that Lamborghini made come true. This open two-seater was created for a special few. Power, performance, and presence Lamborghini-style are exhibited by this supreme achievement in motoring. This extremely rare breed is from Sant’ Agata Bolognese with love…..Happy 50th Anniversary Automobili Lamborghini!
May the bull continue on with its serious adrenalin rush!!!! YOU-GO…..LAMBO!!!
